Big Brothers/Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters operates under the premise that one caring adult (Big) can make a significant difference in the life of a child (Little). Big Brothers Big Sisters enrolls children aged 5-16 years to match them in one-on-one mentoring relationships that center on doing quality-time activities together. Currently, the program has site-based and community-based options.

Christian Alliance for Orphans (CAFO)

The Christian Alliance for Orphans unites more than 200 respected organizations and 850+ church members. Our joint initiatives inspire and equip Christians to effectively live out the Bible’s call to care for orphans and vulnerable children.

Edmond L Thomas Center

The Edmund L. Thomas Adolescent Center is the residential component of the Erie County Office of Children and Youth and consists of two short-term therapeutic residential programs: secure juvenile detention and dependent shelter. The center is entrusted to provide care for court-ordered children awaiting adjudication and/or disposition. The Court of Common Pleas and its agent are the only individuals authorized to detain children.

Erie County Office of Children & Youth

The Erie County Office of Children and Youth works to keep children safe and respectfully engage families by using community-based services and support to help families successfully care for their children. The focus of the Office of Children and Youth is the safety, permanency and well-being of all children and youth, with the vision of creating a community where children thrive because they are safe, loved and given opportunities to succeed.

Erie Family Center

The Erie Family Center believes that “Parents are their child’s first and most important teachers”. Their family support programs provide services through skilled staff, all in the comfort of your own home and at their family-friendly center.

Foster Erie

Foster Erie is a non-profit organization that works with the children, foster families, and the Erie community to provide opportunities of support and encouragement. Foster Erie believes that, by connecting the community to foster care, it will not only inspire new foster families but also retain current ones.

Justice Works

Justice Works provides support for biological parents looking to reunify with their children, and also provides a variey of social and life skills classes and activities for youth who are aging out/have aged out of foster care.

Lifespan Family Services

We equip their foster families with valuable resources that help the child thrive. Our goal is to leave a lifelong impact on a child who needs a caring family, and we encourage and respect all foster families.
