Big Brothers/Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters operates under the premise that one caring adult (Big) can make a significant difference in the life of a child (Little). Big Brothers Big Sisters enrolls children aged 5-16 years to match them in one-on-one mentoring relationships that center on doing quality-time activities together. Currently, the program has site-based and community-based options.

Children's Aid Society

Children's Aid Society provides professional services throughout central Pennsylvania through many different program areas including: Adoption & Foster Care, Child Care & Early Learning, Youth Mentoring, Family Support Services. Their mission is to “identify and provide services to improve the lives of children and their families.” They have been serving local families since 1890 and last year, their services helped 1,420 children and adults.

Christian Alliance for Orphans (CAFO)

The Christian Alliance for Orphans unites more than 200 respected organizations and 850+ church members. Our joint initiatives inspire and equip Christians to effectively live out the Bible’s call to care for orphans and vulnerable children.

Clearfield County Children, Youth, & Family Services

The purpose of Clearfield County Children, Youth and Family Services is to protect children and preserve families, assuring their safety and permanent placement.

Life Span

Lifespan Family Services strives to build families up with empathy, hope, and respect. Their offices are centrally located to support all Central & Western PA. Their staff is committed to caring for children facing special circumstances and providing them with good homes and services. They equip foster families with valuable resources that help the child thrive. Their goal is to leave a lifelong impact on a child who needs a caring family, and we encourage and respect all foster families.

Merakey is a not-for-profit developmental, behavioral health, and education provider. We offer a variety of services to individuals and communities across the country.

PA KinConnector

PA KinConnector provides guidance, advice, and support for grandparents raising grandchildren and other relative and non-relative Kinship Caregivers

Penn State Extension: Relatives as Parents Program

This program aims to expand supportive services available for PA relative caregivers and the children they are raising, particularly in terms of helping them find needed information and resources, find and enroll in support groups that serve kinship care families, and engage in family-based recreational and relationship-enhancing activities.

Pennsylvania State Resource Family Association

PSRFA advocates for all those who care about children and their families. We work supportively with foster, adoptive, and kinship families, and with local foster parent associations and agencies who care for the children they serve.

SWAN: State Wide Adoption Network

The Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network (SWAN) is a partnership among the Department of Human Services (DHS), the Pennsylvania Adoption Exchange, public and private adoption agencies, organizations, advocates, judges, the legal community, and foster and adoptive parents.
