Adelphoi has been placing foster kids successfully for over 30 years. Adelphoi provides foster care, kinship care and adoption services. Through a strong system of care and exemplary foster families, Adelphoi is able to help these children grow and develop within a healthy family environment. Adelphoi offers foster care services based upon the needs of the child, including Teen-Focused Foster Care, Intensive Foster Care for youth with more intense problems and Pregnant and Parenting Care to work with pregnant teens and new mothers. Adelphoi offers two types of kinship services: Home Safety/Caretaker Assessment Study and Formal Kinship Caregiver Services. Adelphoi is also licensed adoption agency and is affiliated with the Statewide Adoption Network (SWAN). Adelphoi also provides Child Specific Recruitment, Child Preparation, Child Profiles, Post-Permanency Services, Family Preparation, Placement and Finalization Services.

Big Brothers Big Sisters operates under the premise that one caring adult (Big) can make a significant difference in the life of a child (Little). Big Brothers Big Sisters enrolls children aged 5-16 years to match them in one-on-one mentoring relationships that center on doing quality-time activities together. Currently, the program has site-based and community-based options.

Centre County Children and Youth Services is the agency within the Centre County government which is responsible for the operations of children and youth programs. It is guided and constrained in its functions and services by federal, state, and local statutes and regulations. Foster care is viewed as a partnership between the agency and foster parents towards meeting the needs of a child while they are living away from their own family.
