Meet the county staff
Stacy Schmoel and her husband Jeremy live in Lancaster County and have 9 children, 2
dogs and 2 cats. Their passion for supporting vulnerable children began through a
connection with missionaries serving
children in Russia and Ukraine. In 2017, God took their family on a personal journey that lead to fostering and subsequently adopting a sibling group of four. This experience made Stacy aware of the significant needs of children from hard places and the support required for families caring for them. In 2025, God opened a door for Stacy to use her experiences to advocate for children and support families as the Lancaster County Assistant Coordinator and Statewide Grant Writer for Keystone FamilyAlliance.
Kelly is an adoptive mom to three girls that joined her family through domestic infant adoption. She says, "We
have walked a hard and beautiful journey with our kids. Through the ups and the downs we
have learned a lot and
are still navigating so many things but God has been faithful to carry usand guide us all throughout this journey. We have seen His hand and felt His deep love for us aswe have built our family through adoption and learned how to parent kids from hard places. Iknew I would one day love to help and support families in difficult seasons raising vulnerablechildren. The opportunity to work at KeyFam came during a season where I felt God pulling andleading me to something different. To something that would align with all He was doing andstirring in my heart. He made it abundantly clear that Key Fam was my landing ground and thathe has great things in store. I feel honored to be a part of this ministry and look forward to allGod will do through me in my time here. My desire is to share the wonderful gift of who He isand how his love for us can carry us through any circumstances in life.
